For 5 years, MDR Outdoor Group has been committed to bringing innovative deer hunting scent products to market and providing the whitetail hunter with state-of-the art tools that put the odds of success more in the their favor.

The ground breaking 24Seven Unscented was our first product. The advantages of this patented scent-release agent are many, but none more valuable than its ability to time-release any liquid scent that’s added to it. Responding to customer feedback, it became obvious that many hunters wanted a product that was “ready to use” despite the minimal effort to prepare a scent with 24Seven Unscented granules.

In 2005, three different pre-scented products were introduced to the MDR product line in the form of 24Seven Doe Estrus, 24Seven Dominant Buck, and 24Seven Early Buck. Each filled an important role within a complete scent strategy. 24Seven Early Buck provided all our customers with a scent for the successful curiosity response of any whitetail deer that is exposed to it. This scent is as interesting to deer in September as it is in mid-winter. The other two products, 24Seven Dominant Buck and 24Seven Doe Estrus are niche products that are incredibly effective when used by the hunter during the correct period of the breeding season. Our Dominant Buck product is the perfect Pre-Rut scent for the exclusively big buck hunter. As little as one scent trail of this potent product applied prior to the “seek and chase” period is sometimes all it takes to tag that Dream Buck you’ve been watching all summer enter the hayfield at dusk. 24Seven Doe Estrus is our premium doe-n-heat scent best used from when the bucks begin checking for receptive does until the last doe in the territory has been successfully bred or ceases to cycle. These 4 products all possess our patented time-release granules which are made of naturally occurring inorganic solids that cannot be considered litter when left for an extended period of time or forgotten unlike many other scent dispensers available today. Branch Magic is new for 2007 and incorporates the whitetail buck head chemistry that has been so sorely missing in the industry contained within an easy-to-apply gel.

To collect the scents used to make MDR products, great care is taken to see that all glands and urines harvested in Western New York’s Allegheny Mountain foothills are kept as fresh as possible in cold, air tight storage until they are processed. All of our products were and still are field tested in the whitetail woods of Pennsylvania and New York State by experienced hunters. A long time ago, someone said “seeing is believing”, well we couldn’t agree more and based on our infrared counters and trail cameras, 24Seven products increase deer visitation dramatically when properly dispensed and care is taken to not contaminate the site.
