Product Information

MDR Outdoor Group’s flagship timed-release product. We tell our dealers that they often cannot convince their customers to change the liquid scent that have had success with or enjoy, but they can show them a more effective way to use it. 24SEVEN Unscented is composed of naturally occurring minerals that are porous in nature and are ground to a specific diameter. One can best envision them as small sponges. The product allows the user to take a ½ oz. of any liquid scent (it can be an attractant, urine, or cover scent) and add it to our unscented granules to give them a 7 day timed-release product. This product has been used successfully with scents designed for all types of big game animals as well as by trappers also looking to enjoy it’s timed-release features in their sets. The convenience of having a lure or scent that will not leak in the users pocket or day pack as well as something that will not spill on their hands or hunting clothes during application is certainly a big feature. The user is able to unscrew the cap, easily pry off the shaker top, add a ½ oz of desired liquid, replace the shaker top and cap, and shake for 15-30 seconds. The liquid disperses throughout throughout the container amazingly fast as anyone who has witnesses the demo can attest. The granules swell about 10-15% in size upon mixing and the increased volume in the container is obvious to the user. The granules remain in their swollen/charged state until they are dispensed on the ground. At that time they begin a 7 day recontraction process back to their original size as they release scent evenly over that time period. Now the hunter is ready to enjoy the features of the product. One nice feature of the product is the ability to hear the granules hitting the ground while applying in darkness. How many times as the liquid scent hunter applied a liquid, got in their stand, pull out their bottle at mid-morning only to see they added three quarters of their expensive bottle of scent?! 24SEVEN products allow the hunter far superior control of application. The lifetime of the product is indefinite up until the time the user adds a liquid. Once it has been added to or “activated”, the granules have the same lifetime as the liquid that was added to them. Like all chemicals, keeping them if a cool place is always superior to keeping them in a location with elevated temperatures. Hunters can also place this product in the freezer between seasons and still have an effective scent the following year. Another feature of this product is it’s weatherproof properties. In the event it is exposed to rainfall, the granules do indeed take on water until they reach their maximum swell point. Once the wet period ends, they re-start the 7 day release process, albeit in a diluted state, the hunting scent is still place and being released, whereas a liquid scent has washed away or driven deep into the soil. 24SEVEN granules also have a unique ability to sit atop the snow pack where liquid melt into the snow and have little contact with the air above.
